  We checked in late due to traffic jam into Airlie. The staff stayed behind for us till we finally arrived at 8:30pm. Good sized rooms. Nice to sit outside beach front for brekkie

  The place is nice and clean. It is within the centre of the town and everything is very accessible; shopping for souvenirs, bars, pubs, restaurants and the shore is just few metres away from the unit, not to mention the park where kids and kids at heart can play and relax.
  Would love to stay in the same accommodation in my next vacation in Whitsundays. Recommendable...

  Initially we had trouble finding this place. It's almost across the road from the McDonalds. You have drive across the footpath in the main street of town through a "hole in the wall" to get to the units and car parks. Great location for walking to all the cafes, shops, etc. Place can get a bit noisy at night. I have to confess I wasn't that impressed with Airlie Beach, I think it's probably a backpackers paradise, but not so great for 60 - 70 year olds.
  
  The stairs up to the 1st floor units were slightly rickety. There is a bit of a 1950s/1960s style to the building - reminded me of the old beachside flats at the Gold Coast when we stayed there in the 19650s/1960s. The unit had all you could need for an extended stay. However, we were just there for a couple of nights so didn't really take advantage of the small kitchenette. I wouldn't have liked to cook on the small hotplate etc., but there were plenty of choices of takeaway and eat out venues within 5 minutes walk of the units. Our unit overlooked a children's playground where mostly adults swung on the swings after dark and throughout the day. There were great views from the small balcony adjoining the unit and it was a nice place to sit and have a morning cuppa or evening glass of wine overlooking the water. All in all however, the room was a bit tired inside, it could do with a bit of a spruce up. Very clean and tidy though.
  
  The caretaker/manager couldn't have been more helpful. She came within a couple of minutes to fix some minor issues which arose during our stay. 1) Replaced the remote for the air conditioner which had it working again in no time. 2) Tried replacing the batteries in the TV remote, but unfortunately even with new batteries, you still had to stand 6-12 inches in front of the TV to get the remote to work. She said she's going to try and get a new TV for the room which would be good for future guests. The rates are reasonable here and units are perfectly positioned in Airlie Beach Central. We had some morning guests on the balcony with the arrival of 3 Sulphur Crested cockatoos. Don't be tempted to feed them as you can expect an explosion of seagulls and sparrows the moment you toss a stray biscuit crumb. There was also a sunbird nest hanging from a pot plant right next to our front door which was a delightful surprise.

  Great place to stay. Needs a little up grade. Have stayed here a few times.

  Don’t be fooled as you drive into the carpark. These units are spotlessly clean and are in a fantastic location on the beach. .the rooms are spacious and very well appointed with all the kitchen amenities.
